My favorite comment, by far, regarding this kind of behavior is from a commenter in the SoundOff area in the PI story:
Violence and the threat of violence are the hallmarks of statists, whether they be socialists, communists, islamists, fascists, or environmentalists. The methods are always that same: stake out an intellectual claim, promote envy, appeal to emotion, justify violent acts in the name of a cause. Attack institutions: education, religion, commerce, and enterprise. Blame others. Destroy the productive capacity of others. Ameleriote fear through the promotion of state control, taxes, etc.
In the meantime, I’ll be keeping a close eye on the developments near me. They’re not Street of Dreams caliber, but potential targets nonetheless.
